Docketed and Undocketed Case Files

1933-1935

This series consists of docketed and undocketed case files. The records include correspondence, complaints of violations, exhibits, memorandums, affidavits, case analysis briefs, complaint analysis sheets, abstracts, statements, contact logs, transcripts, certificates of case closing, check sheets, photographs, clippings, and testimonies. The material relates to labor, industry trade practice, and President's Reemployment Agreement (PRA) code compliance cases against businesses that operated in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. Docketed case files are cases that were certified by the Regional Compliance Council and sent to the regional director in Omaha, Nebraska, for action. Undocketed case files are cases that were not formally certified to the regional director for action. Docketed case files include the disposition of the case. A docketed case file could be suspended, opened, closed, adjusted, unadjusted, adjusted and dropped, rejected, referred for further action, or designated pending. Most docketed and undocketed case files include a complaint of violation. The complaint includes the type of alleged violation (labor, trade practice, or PRA), the names of the complainant and respondent, the respondent's address, town, and state, the business of the respondent, the principal product or service of the respondent's business, and other business details; the complainant's address, town, and state, the nature of the complaint, and the complainant's signature. Docketed case files include a case record analysis sheet that describes how the case was settled.
